Together, we really can make a difference

Welcome to the East Ayrshire North Communities Federation Limited (EANCF Ltd) Website. Our Website contains a review of our recent activities which now that we are both a Limited Company and a Registered Charity are expected to increase in both quantity and scope. The Link Up Programme

Inspiring Scotland is an exciting new way of using money and skills to improve the lives of Scotland's most vulnerable people.  By putting in place significant long term funding and development support for Scotland's charities we are chaging people's lives for the better.

Inspiring Scotland will work in close partnership with East Ayrshire North Communities Federation and the local Community Facilitator to:

Identify and facilitate opportunities for activities that enable groups within the community to connect, share knowledge and skills or simply provide each other with practical assistance.

Work together on 4-5 links (projects) undertaking activities for mutual benefit.

Identify local assets including existing social networks, skills & knowledge of local residents, effective local community & voluntary organisations and pysical & economic resources.

It was an excellent networking opportunity and a chance for groups to publicise their activities.  The day was made complete by a short speech from Provost Stephanie Young, whose support is very much appreciated.

The Federation recently moved to new premises at No 15 Wellington Street, Kilmarnock KA3 1DW next to the Gallery. Our telephone number will remain the same - 01563 572712, although we now have multiple lines so it should be easier to get in touch.

The hours of business are as follows : Monday - Thursday 10.00 - 17.00, Friday 10.00 - 16.00.

You can find our new office by driving through the viaduct towards Dean Street and the Glasgow Road.  Wellington Street runs from the viaduct up to the traffic lights at Black's Bar and the Gallery is on the right hand side just after the car park.

Alzheimer Scotland

We have recently been joined in the office by Katy Hawker who is one of Alzheimers Scotland's dementia advisors.

Katy is using the office for administration purposes and also as a drop in centre for members.

Kilmarnock & District Can Cycle

This enviromental social enterprise group is based in Shortlees and have recently taken up the option of a 'Hot Desk' in the office to assist with their admin duties. We are working closely with them on their various projects.

Fenwick Weavers

Fenwick Weavers will be celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the original Weavers Charter on the 14th March 2011. This event will be attended by supporters from all over the world. You will be able to learn more about the Weavers when they launch their own website soon.

Premises

Due to the success of the office sharing concept being developed in our current premises we now have plans to expand this principle and relocate to much larger premises where we can continue the growth of the EANCF Community Hub. More will follow on this item as our plans progress.
