We are the East Ayrshire NORTH COMMUNITIES FEDERATION and we are here to support community groups.
ABOUT US :
We have been around since 2005. We are a registered charity and a limited company funded by the Fairer Scotland Fund through East Ayrshire Council. The area we cover is the North of East Ayrshire which has a population of 73,000.
Our aims are :
- To help make East Ayrshire a good place to live and work
- To help provide safer and more active communities
- To enable community involvement in decision making
- To keep communities engaged with the Council's Community Planning process
- To help people in the community get more involved in the processes affecting them
- To provide a link between community groups and our partners
- To enable groups to communicate and work with each other for mutual benefit
- To help groups have a stronger voice by joining forces with like minded groups
- To provide direct help, support and advice to local groups
How we operate :
- We work from an office at 15 Wellington Street, Kilmarnock
- We hold monthly meetings for members
- We are managed by a board of Directors
- We provide representatives for the Council's Local Community Planning Forums
